There is currently one project underway in Buchan District (Buchan Main Street and Linkages) with more projects in the pipeline.

The community continues to work with East Gippsland Shire to find suitable locations for the Dump Point and the Playspace.
Buchan Recreation Reserve redevelopment – Funding from Emergency Recovery Victoria, Community Foundation & LRCI
The Project Reference Group (PRG) has been formed, the group is made up of representatives from our sporting groups, Council Officers and the Community Recovery Committee (CRC). The PRG meets reqularly and is expecting to have the Concept and Design Detail by the end of February 2024. The CRC is working with East Gippsland Shire to secure more funding to enable the project to be completed.
Tenders for the Netball/Tennis Courts have been out to tender but unfortunately the Tender prices were too high. EGSC will modify design and put out to Tender again in January 2024.
Community Facilities Upgrades – funding received Local Economic Recovery Round 1, 2020
- Buchan Hall Kitchen upgrade
- Gelantipy Hall, bathroom and ramp upgrade – completed
- Wulgumerang Recreation Reserve, vinyl flooring to toilets – completed
- Generator for Buchan Recreation Reserve
